Michael Edwards – born 5 December 1963 in Cheltenham, England - was a simple man but became Britan’s most (maybe only) famous ski-jumper of all time!

His uniqueness and his honest ambitions soon got him the nickname “Eddie the Eagle”. Funny glasses, clumsiness and quite short jumps were his trademarks. But although Eddie was a quite poor jumper compared to the other contestants of the 1988 Winter Olympics he made it British record holder: 73.5m in one of his Calgary jumps in 1988.

He was the darling of the press as well as an idol of the public, but what is he doing now?

You are standing in the bathroom brushing your teeth. All of the sudden the door opens and your roommate’s girlfriend stands in the door. She: “oh, eh sorry, I…” You: “Oh, eh, sorry, eugh, fliggehmpf…”

Everybody knows this situation or at least one of that kind. Everyday life situations where surpringly few people actually know what to say. Because of the unexpectedness you’re in a rush to say at least something, because to say nothing would be even more awkward. And after you brought a fliggehmpf out and the moment has passed you bang your head against your inner wall. You know, you could at least have stopped after the sorry…

Somebody built himself a sushi-machine with phun, you can survey the results on youtube. Below you find the specialized Ikura-Mashine. (for those who don’t know, this is what ikura looks like in reality)

Through the eyes of a professional sushi-chef this might seem a bit ridiculous but also quite cute and funny!

These Seaworld-Dolphins discoverd a way to control their air-bubbles under water and actually play with them! I’m wondering if this behaviour  just came up through life in captivity or has anyone seen this before in the wild?
