March 28th, 2009culinaria“Phun is a free game like 2D physics sandbox where you can play with physics like never before. The playful synergy of science and art is novel, and makes Phun as educational as it is entertaining.”
-> http://www.phunland.com/wiki/HomeSomebody built himself a sushi-machine with phun, you can survey the results on youtube. Below you find the specialized Ikura-Mashine. (for those who don’t know, this is what ikura looks like in reality)
Through the eyes of a professional sushi-chef this might seem a bit ridiculous but also quite cute and funny!

January 27th, 2009culinariaValentine’s Day is coming up.
The day to say “I love you!”, the day you’re allowed to be not only romantic but also really tacky.
So buy your girl some flowers, write a poem and prepare a very lovely meal for her. And besides the frumpy heart-shaped pancakes or waffles you can try something new: heart-shaped sushi!
The perfect valentine dinner and even more romantic if you prepare it together.
P.S.: If you have trouble getting the sushi into the right shape, you may use some help, like a sushi-maker or heart-shaped cookie-cutter.
Or maybe you’re interested in taking her to a sushibar as well…

January 14th, 2009culinariaEven If sushi hasn’t reached the farest outposts of our world yet, it has become quite present in our daily business.
In bigger cities you have a sushi-place on almost every second corner so you can easily satisfy your appetite on sushi. But the most important thing about this wave of sushibars is to divide the goods from the bads.
So here is my favourite sushiplace in the world:Not only that you find the most delicious and accurately prepared selection of sushi in this place you also can enjoy the re-launch of their corporate design (created by aeffaeff), which is still in progress but already very enjoyable. Just have a look at their website (available in german and english) or look them up at myspace!
The Zenbar is located in Kiel, Germany, so if you happen to be in town you have to stop by (especially suited for ferry-visitors from sweden or norway)!
Besides the excellent food you can also enjoy special events every other month, like concerts or literature readings.
