Michael Edwards – born 5 December 1963 in Cheltenham, England - was a simple man but became Britan’s most (maybe only) famous ski-jumper of all time!His uniqueness and his honest ambitions soon got him the nickname “Eddie the Eagle”. Funny glasses, clumsiness and quite short jumps were his trademarks. But although Eddie was a quite poor jumper compared to the other contestants of the 1988 Winter Olympics he made it British record holder: 73.5m in one of his Calgary jumps in 1988.
He was the darling of the press as well as an idol of the public, but what is he doing now?

May 17th, 2009movies&TVYesterday Russia hosted the 54th annual Eurovision-Songcontest. With a Budget of 42 Million € the host presented us the most expensive and one of the best shows in the history of the Eurovision.

After Cirque de Soleil opened the evening, Dima Bilan flew on stage to perform last year’s winner-song “Believe”. In 2008 Russia already spent a fortune on the Songcontest hiring Timbaland to produce their song and a famous Russian Violinist as well as a famous Russian figure skater to enrich the Dima’s live performance.
Finally it worked and Russia got the Eurovision to Moscow for the first time.And the evening brought us another first time: The official voting was opened directly from the russian space station ISS!
